HEREFORD United are out to cause an upset in the FA Trophy tomorrow when they take on Sutton United at Edgar Street (3pm).
The Bulls face the higher-ranked London outfit in the third qualifying round with a place in the first-round proper up for grabs.
Hereford, who play a level below Conference South Sutton, have won two matches to reach this stage of the competition and have won £5,950 in prize money along the way.
A 2-1 first qualifying round victory at Totton was followed by a 2-0 victory at home to Mangotsfield United in the last round. Those victories also came during a six-match winning streak for Jon Taylor’s side, which was brought to a halt with Tuesday’s 3-0 loss at Chesham United in the Southern League Premier Division.
Sutton, who have former Bulls goalkeeper coach Ian Harris on their books, are looking for their first win in six matches.
Former Hereford caretaker manager Peter Beadle, who steered the club to safety in the Conference last season before their expulsion, also had a brief spell as a coach at Sutton earlier this season.
