HEREFORD manager Pete Beadle wants this team to repeat their second-half display against Rocester when they face Coleshill Town at Edgar Street tonight (7.45pm).

The Bulls fought back from 3-0 down after 11 minutes at Rocester to seal a remarkable 4-3 victory on Saturday – their first away success in the Midland League Premier Division.

Goals from Pablo Heysham, John Mills and Nathan Hughes brought Hereford level before Rob Purdie netted a late winner from the penalty spot.

Beadle said: “It was a fantastic effort from all the players to win the game and, in the second-half, I thought we showed the standard we should be playing at.

“Trailing 3-0 down after 11 minutes was not how I planned it. We have to make sure that, if we do make a mistake, we react much better.

“But, in the second-half, I thought we showed what we were about.

“We created a lot of chances and I would like to think that, sooner or later, somebody is going to get a hammering from us.”

Nathan Summers is suspended for tonight’s match against being shown a red card in Hereford’s 2-0 Stourport earlier this month.

Fellow defender Tony James will soon be facing a suspension after being dismissed for retaliation in the dying minutes at Rocester.

Coleshill are 17th in the table with just one point from their first three games and lost 4-1 at home to Heanor Town on Saturday.

A crowd of 4,060 watched Hereford’s first league game at Edgar Street – a 4-1 success against Dunkirk on the opening day of the season.

Beadle said: “Even at 3-0 down, our fans remained behind the team. If they continue to support us like that, we are not going to be too far away.”

Stourport Swifts will be hoping to continue their excellent start to the season against Herefordshire rivals Westfields at Walshes Meadow (7.45pm).

Swifts, who defeated Hereford 2-0 earlier this month, are second in the table after picking up three successive wins. Stourport coasted to an FOOTBALL impressive 3-0 win at Bardon Hill on Saturday.

Stourport produced a strong second-half display, with Ben Maund opening the visitors’ account in the 47th minute. An own goal doubled Stourport’s lead and Ryan Wollacott sealed the points.

Westfields, who have won only once in the league, will be looking to bounce back from a 2-1 home defeat against Quorn on Saturday.

Bromsgrove Sporting are also in action, hosting Littleton in a Division One derby, with Pershore Town entertaining Racing Club Warwick (both 7.45pm).
