HEREFORD FC thrashed high-flying hosts Heanor Town 7-2 in the Midland League Premier Division following four late goals.

John Mills scored a hat-trick with Adam Page, an own goal and substitute Nathan Hughes (2) completing the scoring.

Centre-half Jamie Willets, Hereford’s new signing from Stourport Swifts, played the whole game.

An Aidan Thomas goal saw Westfields beat Atherstone Town 1-0 in the FA Vase first qualifying round.

Pegasus Juniors lost 4-0 against Stourport with ex-Hereford United manager Jamie Pitman playing.

Pershore Town put in their best display of the season at higher-ranked Wulfrunians but conceded with four minutes remaining to lose 2-1.

Under caretaker management following the resignation of Scott and Kevin Walsh earlier in the week, Town’s hard-working performance deserved more.

Having taken the game to the Premier Division side, new signing Simeon Smith chipped a through-ball just over.

But Town conceded a penalty after 27 minutes having been the better team.

Pershore were awarded a penalty when Smith was fouled but his spot-kick was well saved by the keeper, who also stopped the rebound.

Town deservedly levelled just before half-time when Ellis Blakemore picked out Jacob Snape, who slotted home.

The second-half was even but the late strike saw Town knocked out.

Will Gayton, Dan Holloway and Kyonn Evans were among the scorers as Littleton won 4-0 at Gornal Athletic.

Malvern Town triumphed 4-1 at Shifnal Town.
