HANLEY Swan powered to another strong home win with a 6-2 victory over lowly Andoversford Reserves in Cheltenham League Division Two.

They had a setback before the game when keeper Nick Rogers was injured in the warm-up and volunteer stand-in Chris Shuard then made some important saves.

Hanley started well with Cathal Mcternan making runs down the right and Luke Duffett hitting the post early on.

Against the run of play the visitors went ahead with a long-range shot.

But Hanley pressed and were rewarded when a ball from Ash Bloore was met by Blake Bishop's diving header to level.

Minutes later, Hanley took the lead as a cross from Kevin Moore was headed back by Bloore and Duffett scored with an overhead kick.

Hanley had two efforts disallowed before Bloore scored from close range before half-time.

Andoversford have a good early second-half spell but solid defending from Adam Webb, Chris Aston, Jamie Heason and Mark Amott kept the lead intact.

At the other end, Moore hit an effort just wide and Tom Morris had a good shot saved.

Morris showed good control to set up Bloore who fired the ball home.

A run and cross from James Holloway found Morris whose shot was saved but Bloore put the rebound into the net to complete his hat-trick.

The visitors did not give up and were rewarded with a second goal.

Hanley went back on the attack and Moore went close before he buried a well-taken penalty.

Third-placed Hanley go to Pittville United on Saturday.
